We try and keep the episodes shorter than the movies. Sometimes it's easier than other times. Because this one was a UK production we discuss franchises that relocated either their setting or their production along the way. Not so much in a globe trotting James Bond way. More in a "Jason takes Manhattan so you move the production from New Jersey to Toronto?" kind of way.

10 - The Amityville Haunting (12/13/2011)

This entry begins the era of the micro-budget open source anyone can make one Amityville films. To keep the budget low, they of course go the found footage route. Before the movie we talk about other found footage films that are worth checking out.

09 - The Amityville Horror (4/14/2005)

While not the last theatrical Amityville, it was certainly the last wide release high profile one. The only Platinum Dunes remakes to spawn a second entry both involved cannibals in the desert. This one spawned so much else. Before the movie we discuss the other Platinum Dunes remakes and Ryan Reynolds.

08 - Amityville Dollhouse (10/2/1996)

The last of the original run of Amityville movies, and the Republic Pictures trilogy. The last big hill for the rollercoaster ahead. This seems like a cursed item movie, or maybe just the same idea somewhere else? In the pre-movie conversation we discuss dollhouses in horror.

07 - Amityville: A New Generation (9/29/1993)

In the tradition of Star Trek TNG, The New Monkees, and the Maverick movie, a new generation of terror begins as the grandson of the original house takes on... What? It's a mirror that messes with an L.A. artists commune? Sure. Pre-movie conversation about other generational reboots.

06 - Amityville 666 It‘s About Time (7/16/1992)

So many titles, so little time. This was not the original house with a clock in the walls, and there's no Cate Blanchette. But there is a house, a clock, time stuff, and Megan Ward. Republic Pictures took over the franchise for a bit starting here, in California, with another cursed item entry. We also discuss the lack of time travel and real time horror films.

05 - The Amityville Curse (5/7/1990)

The first of the series to not show the original house in any way, also the first to go straight to video. We discuss other straight to video movies before diving in on this murder mystery type cursed cabinet haunted house monastery sorta thing. And a thing it certainly is.

04 - Amityville 4: The Evil Escapes (5/12/1989)

03 - Amityville 3D (11/18/1983)

Coming at you in glorious 3D (not available in most areas), see a young Meg Ryan and Lori Loughlin take on definitely not a Poltergeist and lots of gratuitous blocking and sight gags that translate well back down in the 2nd dimension. Plus discussion of other 3D movies to kick it off.

02 - Amityville II: The Possession (1982)

In a follow up that sets the bar high for all of the sequels to follow, things get crazy then straight up unhinged. While billed as a sequel, it also serves as a prequel, but in ways that negate the concept of continuity. Before the film, Tom and Pat discuss other prequels.
